Stages of the IVF process
The IVF process consists of several stages, each of which is essential for success:
- Ovarian stimulation: We begin with ovarian stimulation using specialized medications to obtain high-quality mature eggs.
- Egg aspiration: We perform the egg aspiration directly from the patient’s ovary in a safe and delicate procedure.
- Semen sample preparation: Simultaneously, we prepare the semen sample to be ready for fertilization.
- Fertilization in the laboratory: In our laboratory, we carefully combine the selected eggs and sperm in the culture dish, allowing fertilization to occur.
- Embryo culture and monitoring: We monitor the development of embryos for 5 or 6 days in the laboratory, ensuring they are healthy and ready for transfer.
- Embryo transfer to the uterus: Embryos of the highest quality are selected and accurately transferred to the patient’s uterus, providing the best chances of pregnancy.
